Delhi-NCR Air Pollution Case: Due to the increasing problem of pollution in Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court on Monday (November 18) directed to close schools up to 12th in Delhi-NCR. The court has asked all the states falling under NCR to immediately implement the restrictions imposed under Group 4. After this decision, after Delhi and Gurugram, now the order to close schools has been issued in Noida also.

Keeping in mind the restrictions of GRAP-4, Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate Manish Verma has also issued an order regarding school closure. The order states, ‘All schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar will conduct online classes till class 12th. Online classes will continue till further orders. This decision has been taken in the interest of health and safety of children.

At the same time, Gurugram District Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar issued an order saying, “All classes up to class 12th will remain closed in all areas (urban and rural) of Gurugram from November 19 to November 23 or until further orders. All government and private schools in the district will remain closed. “Will be conducted online instead of physical classes.”

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Delhi Atishi Posting on X, he wrote, “The government is working with full commitment to deal with pollution. To ensure that the studies of class 10th and 12th students are not disrupted, the option of online classes has been adopted.”

Delhi government took strict steps to deal with pollution
In view of the severe level of air pollution in Delhi, the fourth phase of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) has been implemented. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the capital is in the ‘severe’ category, which is having a significant impact on public life. Under this, Delhi government has taken many strict steps. Delhi government has ordered online classes for class 10th and 12th students. Other classes will also remain postponed till the pollution improves. Construction work has been banned. Only public projects like metro and hospital construction have been allowed. Old diesel and petrol vehicles have been banned.

Many measures are also being taken to deal with pollution. To reduce the dust accumulated on the roads, water is being sprayed in many parts of Delhi. People are being encouraged to wear masks, car-pool, and use public transportation.
