The BJP has agreed to give six seats in UP to allies Om Prakash Rajbhar’s SubhaSP (one seat), Apna Dal (two seats), Nishad Party (one seat) and RLD (two seats). Omprakash Rajbhar, Dara Singh Chauhan can be made ministers in the possible cabinet expansion. At the same time, there is talk of making ministers from RLD included in NDA.
Party sources say that before the notification of Lok Sabha elections is issued, the list of more than a hundred candidates will be declared on Friday or Saturday and candidates for about 250 seats will be declared by March 10.
Before the meeting of the Central Election Committee, a panel of candidates has been prepared for 300 seats in 21 states in a meeting of top party leaders at the Prime Minister’s residence that lasted for about six hours. In this meeting, it has been decided not to declare candidates in Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu until talks on alliance are finalized.
