Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to provide facilities in RTO offices on the lines of passport offices. In the review meeting of Transport Corporation and Transport Department on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that public utility facilities should be increased in RTO offices. People should not have to wait unnecessarily. Take the help of technology and simplify the processes.
The Chief Minister said that fake licenses should not be made at all. There should not be unnecessary presence of outsiders in the RTO office. Also, provide facilities in the RTO office on the lines of the passport office. Make the RTO offices of the state hi-tech using technology, so that the RTO offices of Uttar Pradesh become a model in the country.
CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to implement the e-challan system. He said that the transport department is very important because it is directly connected to the public. In view of this, start as many faceless services as possible in the state like the Sarathi app and portal available for making driving licenses. He said that school children are the future of not only the state but the country. Any kind of tampering with their lives will not be tolerated. For this, run a campaign and get the fitness test of school vehicles done. Take special care that only trained drivers are found driving the vehicles.
CM Yogi said that illegal vehicles should not be allowed to run on the roads, they should be stopped at zero point. Also, the Home, Mining and Transport departments should form a task force and take action against overloaded vehicles. Overloaded vehicles coming from other states should be stopped at the border itself. He said that the new scrap policy is properly implemented in the state. There is a need to implement it in a better and more effective manner. Scrap the condemned vehicles as soon as possible so that the level of pollution can be reduced.
CM Yogi said that the Maha Kumbh to be held in 2025 will be more divine and grand as compared to 2019. Seven thousand dedicated buses should be operated so that the devotees and tourists coming from the country and abroad do not face any inconvenience in the journey to Maha Kumbh. Also, the drivers and conductors driving these buses should be trained properly. Special care should be taken that they have ID cards and uniforms. He said that new bus stations should be constructed in the state in a phased manner. Their design should be such that it reflects the art and culture of Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi said that all the rules related to road safety should be strictly followed in the state. There should be no negligence in this.
