On Friday, on the 150th foundation day of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the judiciary and the executive should work together to provide cheap, quick and accessible justice to the people. He mentioned a series of works being done by the government for the interests of the advocates. Along with this, the CM also assured to make Prayagraj a hub of education and justice.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that the government has already released a budget of Rs 640 crore for the construction of multi-storey building for vehicle parking and advocate chambers. Apart from this, his government is determined to make Allahabad the hub of education. She is working in this field. The district administration has been asked to acquire land for setting up a national level Dr. Rajendra Prasad Law University. Its proposal has been passed by the earlier cabinet.

This work will be expedited as soon as the land is acquired. He said that under the Advocates Welfare Fund, the government has already issued an order to provide assistance of five lakhs to young advocates. Apart from this, Rs 111.85 crore has been paid as financial assistance to the deceased advocates even during Kovid. Rs 47 crore has been given in another head. During this, the message of Supreme Court Chief Justice Justice DY Chandrachud was also read out on the foundation day of the High Court Bar.

Integrated headquarters will be built in the districts as a model of justice and administrative system

The CM said that in many districts including Prayagraj, Lucknow, Shravasti, Kasganj, funds have been allocated for the establishment of court rooms, advocates’ chambers in the districts. Along with this, proposals have been sought from more districts. Apart from this, work is going on for the construction of integrated buildings for the courts in many districts. Along with the commissionerate, court rooms will also be set up in these integrated buildings. So that people do not have to worry a lot to get justice. It would also be a model of sorts.

Said that due to the Lok Adalats being held every day, the number of pending cases in UP has come down as compared to earlier. Now Maharashtra and West Bengal are named before UP. He thanked the advocates for this. Said that this could be done only with the cooperation of the Bar. He said that Bar and Bench are two sides of the same coin. Both are working for the same system. Will take the High Court to heights only with the cooperation of the advocates.

Government should make Allahabad a hub of education and justice: Radhakant

Radhakant Ojha, President of Allahabad High Court Bar Association, while welcoming the guests in the program, demanded CM Yogi to make Allahabad a hub of education and justice. Said that many demands are pending before him for the interests of the advocates. Advocates Protection Act is also included in this. In the presidential speech, Bar President Radhakant Ojha said that this land is irrigated by Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati and the goddess of justice also resides in this premises. Bar and bench are two sides of the same coin.
