The matter has become heated between the CMS and the doctors of the district hospital and the CMS has accused the doctors of commission and abetting the brokers. Said that a campaign is being run by them to stop the brokers in the hospital. But instead of giving the medicines available in the hospital to the patients, the doctors order the medicines from outside at higher prices. Doctors do not remain in the OPD which runs for the stipulated time from 8 am to 2 pm. It has also been said not to work in the operation theater till the stipulated time.

Let us tell you that recently the doctors in Deen Dayal District Hospital have threatened to resign collectively, accusing CMS of arbitrariness. But now after the reply given by CMS to the district administration, there has been a new twist in this matter. CMS Dr. Digvijay Singh has alleged that the doctors of the hospital want to perform duty arbitrarily and oppose the rule of biometric attendance.

In its reply to the district administration, CMS said that biometric devices have been installed to ensure the presence of paramedical staff and doctors of the hospital in the OPD. But doctors don’t want to accept it. At the same time, when doctors make rounds in the patient ward in the evening, registering and monitoring it with CCTV cameras is also opposed.

If action is not taken the protest will intensify on Saturday

In a letter to the District Magistrate, Additional Director Health and CMO against the CMS of the district hospital, the doctors have demanded the removal of CMS within three days. Its duration will be completed on Friday. In this whole matter, Dr. RN Singh, Secretary of PMS Varanasi branch, Provincial Medical Services Association, an organization of doctors, says that action has been demanded from the Deputy Chief Minister of UP and the Health Minister on CMS. If no action is taken within the stipulated time period then the protests on this issue will intensify from Saturday. He says that due to the arbitrary decision of CMS, not only the doctors but also the patients and attendants are facing problems.
