According to The Sun report, a couple from England, with their smart idea, threw such a small wedding party that they did not have to spend much from their pocket. Usually, brides these days spend 2-3 lakh rupees on their outfits, but here the budget for the entire wedding was just this much.
A wedding without any pomp and show
The wedding of 22-year-old Jamie Louise Phillips and 25-year-old Sam Phillips was not only a happy occasion but also a wonder for the people. They chose Norwich Castle in England as the wedding location without hurting their bank balance. The local registry office is located here. They booked it for £270 i.e. around 30 thousand rupees. They rented a house for three days for the reception, which also cost them £600 i.e. around 63 thousand rupees. They decorated the garden themselves and bought furniture and flowers for around 40-42 thousand rupees.
Bought dress online, fed pizza
Instead of catering, Jam and Sam spent only Rs 22,000 on food and ordered pizza for Rs 14,000, which the guests liked very much. First of all, a normal wedding in the UK usually costs Rs 23 lakh, from which the couple saved a total of Rs 19 lakh. They completed the entire wedding in just Rs 3 lakh 30 thousand.
