Congress Candidates List: Lok Sabha Elections The Congress Party has released the fourth list of candidates late on Saturday night (March 23, 2024). Congress has so far announced candidates for 185 seats. In the fourth list released by the party, many big faces and their sons have also been fielded. Apart from the son of former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat, ticket has also been given to PL Punia’s son. Karti Chidambaram, son of former Union Minister P. Chidambaram, has also been fielded again.
Congress has fielded Vikas Thackeray from Nagpur seat in Maharashtra against senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Apart from this, ticket has been given to Digvijay Singh from Rajgarh seat of Madhya Pradesh, Kanti Lal Bhuria from Ratlam, Arun Srivastava from Bhopal. Ajay Rai has been made the candidate against PM Modi from Banaras, UP. Amroha’s sitting MP Danish Ali, who left BSP and joined Congress, has been removed from his seat again.
PL Punia’s son Tanuj Punia will contest elections
Congress has fielded Imran Masood from Saharanpur Lok Sabha seat, Pradeep Jain from Jhansi and Tanuj Punia, son of PL Punia from Barabanki. Raman Bhalla has been fielded from Jammu Lok Sabha seat and former MP Lal Singh from Udhampur seat.
Harish Rawat’s son Virendra Rawat will contest elections from Haridwar.
Apart from this, Congress has expressed confidence in Kawasi Lakhma by canceling the ticket of sitting Bastar MP Deepak Baij. Harish Rawat’s son Virendra Rawat has been given ticket from Haridwar and Prakash Joshi from Nainital. Nagaur seat of Rajasthan has been left for Hanuman Beniwal. At the same time, Sikar seat has already been left by Congress for CPM. The names of Karti Chidambaram from Sivagangai, Tamil Nadu and Manickam Tagore from Virudhanagar have been announced.
