Congress Bharat jodo Nyaya Yatra: There will be a break on Congress’ ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ from 26th February to 1st March. During this time Rahul Gandhi is going on a foreign tour. Rahul has to give a lecture at Cambridge University, London.
Rahul will return from London and enter Madhya Pradesh on March 2 via Rajasthan. Before this, Rahul’s journey will reach Kanpur via Unnao today. There will be a two-day break in the journey in Kanpur. After this, Rahul Gandhi will travel to western Uttar Pradesh on 24 and 25 March.
Rahul targets center regarding Agniveer scheme
Earlier on Tuesday (20 February 2024), Rahul Gandhi targeted the Modi government at the Center regarding the Agniveer scheme. Rahul said, due to this scheme, discrimination has started among the martyrs in the country and the brave soldier who sacrificed his life for the country is not being given the status of martyr. Rahul was addressing a public meeting during the Nyaya Yatra in Rae Bareli, the parliamentary constituency of his mother Sonia Gandhi. During this, Rahul said, you have heard the name of Agniveer Yojana. You know that now there will be two types of martyrs in India. When one army man (full-time army personnel) is martyred, he will be given the status of martyr and the other one who is Agniveer, when he is martyred, he will not be given the status of martyr.
Rahul said, his (Agniveer Jawan) dead body will be thrown away. His family will neither get pension nor any kind of help. Agniveer soldiers will join the army but after four years, three out of four Agniveers will be kicked out. It will be said that you are not needed here.
I told the truth, I was expelled from Parliament- Rahul
Rahul said, “This is the truth.” I said this in Parliament. Must have seen your speech. I was expelled from the Lok Sabha and my membership was cancelled. The Supreme Court said that Rahul Gandhi’s membership should be returned, only then I could enter the Lok Sabha again. Took away my house. Gave a sentence of two years. When my house was snatched away, I told them to take it away, I don’t want your house. Rahul said, my house is in the hearts of crores of people of India. I want to thank you wholeheartedly and ask you to fight for your rights. You stand up. This country is yours.
