The smuggling of ganja coming from Odisha to Agra in Uttar Pradesh is not stopping. On Monday night, 1.30 quintals of ganja was brought in a truck hidden under the cover of coal in Shahganj area. Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and Shahganj police surrounded the truck and caught it. Five smugglers were arrested. The accused have been sent to jail. Two accused are still absconding.
The ganja was to be consumed in five states including Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. ANTF CO Irfan Nasir Khan said that smugglers were arrested in Hathras recently. They had informed about the ganja smugglers. Information about the movement of the smugglers was being collected.
