The meter unit at Talkatora Power House in the capital Lucknow and former engineer and personnel of Pal Tiraha Rajajipuram subdivision continued to steal electricity to a consumer for about 10 years. In lieu of this, a bribe of 90 thousand rupees was collected and 15 meters missing. Even when engineers and personnel started harassing the consumer, the case reached the power camp of Amar Ujala on Thursday, which has started investigating.

Armaan Khan, a resident of Rajajipuram, has a four -kilowatt connection in the name of Hasina Bano, but seven kW load is being consumed. A total of 18 meters were changed from the year 2013 to 2024 on their connections.

Of these, 15 meters was not recorded by the examiner in his record, nor on the consumer bill. For this, a bribe of 90 thousand rupees was taken. Superintending Engineer Mukesh Tyagi said that the matter is being investigated. Strict action will be taken against those who are guilty.

Returned bribe when a thick bill is made

On the other hand, the present JE and SDO made a bill of 3.48 lakhs by checking Armaan Khan’s meter. When the controversy over this, the bribeler returned the entire amount. Armaan made partial payment of one lakh rupees from the remaining bills. Currently there is a liability of 2.79 lakhs.
