The Ghaziabad police will also investigate seven bank accounts linked to the conversion gang’s mastermind Shahnawaz Maqsood alias Baddo. Transactions of huge amount have taken place in these accounts. These bank accounts have been opened in different names, but the police believe that these accounts have been used to transact money for conversion.
The Commissionerate Police has got transit remand of 72 hours to bring Baddo from Thane to Ghaziabad. The police team of Kavinagar police station will reach Ghaziabad in the early hours of Tuesday by taking Baddo by flight. The police has prepared a list of more than 50 questions to interrogate Baddo, so that the game of conversion goes on unfolding layer by layer.
On Monday morning, Mumbra and Ghaziabad police produced Shahnawaz alias Baddo in Thane district court under tight security. The Ghaziabad police presented documents related to the transit remand before the court. The court has given 72 hours transit remand to the police. The court has also ordered to make arrangements for his food and security during this period.
Keeping in view the security, the police have decided to bring Baddo to Ghaziabad by flight. Police officials say that on Monday evening at 4.30 pm, he was to be taken on a flight, but the entire team could not get tickets. Baddo was brought to Ghaziabad by a night flight. He is being interrogated in detail.
