He said that in a research of 662 adults in India, more than 80 percent people worried about things related to corona, 37.8 percent overthinking about infection, 36.4 percent due to stress and 12.5 percent did not sleep properly. Many people committed suicide

Dr. Selvaraj said that more than 80 percent of the people who took part in the research said that they needed mental health care. Also, research from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan shows that many people Corona virus was so scared that he even committed suicide. Selvaraj also said that women and students under the age of 40 and people with pre-existing medical conditions or mental illness were among the populations most at risk of mental health problems during the pandemic.

This is because they were not given any kind of training earlier to face the dreadful situation of Corona, to take care of the patients and to take care of themselves. He told that the students whom he had guided did not want to become doctors or nurses after Kovid. He also said that this profession has become more difficult than ever.
