BMC had recently increased a total of 1880 beds for patients in two hospitals Seven Hills and Kasturba.
This arrangement was made to deal with Covid cases. In fact, a week ago also in Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Pune, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Akola and Solapur in Maharashtra. corona virus The positivity rate was 5 percent.
Corona’s active cases cross 500
While 1,850 beds were increased in Seven Hills Hospital, around 30 beds were increased in Kasturba Hospital. BMC claims that whenever there is an increase in cases, the number of beds will be increased as per the need. Along with this, doctors and nurses, equipment will also be increased. At present, 30 patients are admitted in Seven Hills Hospital, out of which 5 patients are in ICU. At the same time, 3 patients are admitted in Kasturba Hospital.
Yesterday Sunday (March 26), the number of active corona patients in Mumbai crossed 500, after which the total cases have increased to 558. Talking about the previous day, 123 new cases were registered yesterday. In Mumbai, 43 patients are admitted to the hospital, while 21 are on oxygen.
BMC alert to hospitals
BMC directed all private hospitals to be vigilant. Along with this, all the patients who come for treatment in private hospitals have also been instructed to get them admitted as soon as possible. There are 37 big private hospitals to which orders have been given. At least 10 beds are available in private hospitals. Yesterday Sunday (26th March) 17 patients were admitted to the hospitals.
