According to the Health Department, samples of three patients suffering from corona infection were sent to Loknayak Jaiprakash Hospital for genome sequencing test. One of these samples was confirmed to be the JN.1 variant, while the remaining two patients were found infected with the Omicron variant of Corona. A total of 109 cases of JN.1 variant have been confirmed in the country so far. Among these, maximum 35 cases have been found in Gujarat. Corona cases have started increasing once again across the world, behind which the new sub-variant JN.1 of Corona is being considered as the reason.
12 beds reserved for Corona positive patients
Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Professor of Pulmonary Medicine Department of AIIMS, said that the new sub-variant of Omicron omicron Spreads faster than viruses. In view of this, the AIIMS administration has decided to start screening OPD. In the meeting held at AIIMS, it was decided that there will be Covid screening in emergency, where patients suffering from severe acute respiratory infection, who have cold, cough, cold and difficulty in breathing, such patients will also be examined for Covid. They will be examined by keeping them separate from other patients. The AIIMS administration has issued orders to reserve beds as part of preparations for the treatment of Corona patients, so that if a positive patient comes to AIIMS for treatment, he can be admitted and treated. For this, an order has been given to reserve 12 beds in C-6 ward.
250 to 400 RTPCR tests are being conducted every day.
Regarding the increasing cases of Corona in Delhi, Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the cases of Corona are increasing in South India. However, as a precautionary measure, RTPCR test for Covid has been started in Delhi. He said that on an average 250 to 400 samples are being examined every day. The Health Secretary has been instructed to send its daily report. The Health Minister said that there is no need to panic about this new variant of the Corona virus.
