I could not raise my children well while I was alive… I hope someone of my own will take better care of my children… We both are committing suicide of our own free will… After writing this, the couple living in Prayagraj committed suicide by hanging themselves in Hotel Rajveer in Naka. The police have informed their family members.
Mahmood Alam (44), a resident of Kareli in Prayagraj, had been living with his children in a rented house in Rajajipuram for seven years. On Friday night, he hanged himself along with his wife Jeba Ansari (39) in room number 302 of Hotel Rajveer and committed suicide. When the room door did not open despite the hotel staff’s repeated attempts, the police were informed at around 2 pm on Saturday afternoon.
When the police broke the door and entered inside, they saw that the bodies of both were hanging from the noose. The mobile numbers of the family members were written on the recovered suicide note. ADCP Central Manisha Singh said that the family members of the deceased were informed about the incident by contacting the written number. Postmortem will be conducted on Sunday.
Computer hardware was not working properly
Mahmood Alam used to work in computer hardware. Family members said that his work was not going well for quite some time. That is why he was upset. It is also clear from the suicide note that he was troubled by financial problems. His brother-in-law Sajid said that Mahmood has two sons and a daughter. He will raise all three children.
