Box Office Collection: Back-to-back films are being released every week at the box office. While ‘Dukaan’ was released on April 5, 2024, ‘Crew’ had hit the theaters the week before, on March 29. Ajay Devgan’s action-thriller film ‘Shaitan’ has also been occupying the box office for a month. Some films present in theaters are making record breaking collections while others are finding it difficult to make ends meet.
Monica Panwar starrer film ‘Dukaan’ has been released in theaters on 5th April. The opening of the film was very bad. According to the report of Sacknilk, the film had earned Rs 7 lakh on the first day. Now on the second day also the film could collect only Rs 11 lakh. Made with a budget of Rs 6 crore, ‘Dukaan’ has collected only Rs 19 lakh in two days, which is a matter of concern for the makers.
‘Crew’ enters Rs 50 crore club
Kriti Sanon, Kareena Kapoor and Tabu starrer film ‘Crew’ has hit the theaters on March 29. The film has been earning well since its inception and is making new records. On Saturday (ninth day), the film has made a strong earning of Rs 5.25 crore and with this has become a part of the Rs 50 crore club. ‘Crew’ has earned a total of Rs 52.7 crore at the domestic box office.
‘Crew’ breaks Golmaal returns record
With its spectacular collection, ‘Crew’ has defeated the lifetime collection of Kareena Kapoor’s hit film Golmaal Returns. Golmaal Returns was released in the year 2008 and according to the report of Bollywood Hungama, the lifetime collection of the film was Rs 51.12 crore.
The magic of ‘Shaitan’ continues at the box office
It has been a month since Ajay Devgan and R Madhavan’s film ‘Shaitan’ was released. Despite this, the film is maintaining its hold at the box office. Despite being on the screens of many films, ‘Shaitan’ has done a business of Rs 95 lakh even on the 30th day. Now the total collection of ‘Shaitan’ at the domestic box has reached Rs 142.20 crore.
