Varanasi will get the gift of Ganjari International Cricket Stadium in 30 months. 30,000 spectators will be able to sit and enjoy cricket at the same time in the 25-acre stadium built at a cost of Rs 400 crore. The stadium will also have facilities for indoor sports. Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has invited proposals from agencies for the construction of Ganjari Stadium.
May 5 is the last date. According to the proposal released on the website of UPCA, the target of construction of the stadium is 30 months from the commencement of work. Apart from national and international matches, facilities will also be available for all sports of badminton, table tennis, swimming, self-defense. The stadium should also have outdoor sports ground, cricket practice ground, club house.
BCR will be of two thousand square feet
A 2000 square feet Broadcast Room (BCR) will be built for live telecast of the matches to be held at the stadium. A 20 by 20 feet pulse will be a 12 by 12 feet room for the satellite up link area. Canteen and toilets, bus stand facility will be there in 500 square feet.
