Hormone Replacement Therapy : Aryan, son of former Indian cricket team all-rounder Sanjay Bangar, has got his gender changed. He has changed from a boy to a girl. Now her name is Anaya. After undergoing Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) 11 months ago, 23-year-old Aryan shared a video on the social media platform on Monday and told what problems he faced during this period.
He wrote- ‘Losing strength, but gaining happiness. Body changed, dysphoria is decreasing. There is still a long way to go, but every step feels like my own. Let us tell you that now Anaya is also a cricketer. The left hand batsman plays cricket for the local cricket club Islam Gymkhana. In such a situation, let us know how difficult it is for someone to change from a boy to a girl.
What is hormone replacement surgery?
Hormone replacement surgery is a procedure in which hormones are replaced in the body. In this process the gender of male or female is changed. The help of plastic surgery is also taken in this.
It was recognized in India in the year 2014. For most of the gender change surgery procedures, there is a team of 4 doctors, psychiatrist, surgeon, gynecologist and a neuro surgeon. According to experts, this surgery is done only after 21 years. For children younger than this, parental permission is required. After initial investigation it is sent to the state department headquarters. Along with the application, reports of three national level psychiatrists and four gender change doctors have to be submitted. A copy of the Supreme Court’s decision related to this also has to be attached. For this, advice of a psychologist and a hormone expert is also required.

After getting permission, you can proceed for surgery. Men are given hormone therapy so that the level of female hormones in their body can increase. If a woman wants to change her gender then the process is the same for her.
After all this, by doing hormone replacement surgery, the hormones in the body of the man or woman are changed, so that they can behave like the gender they want to live in. After this the process is completed.
