A pigeon seller was shot dead in Jama Masjid area on Friday afternoon. At the time of the incident, he was sitting at his shop located in Kabootar Market. During this time three people came. An altercation took place between them over some issue and the assailants shot him twice.
After carrying out the incident, the attackers fled. The family took the injured to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The attackers were masked. Police have registered a case of murder and are trying to identify the absconding accused. The deceased was identified as Imran (35), a resident of Laxmi Nagar. He used to sell pigeons in the market of Jama Masjid. The police have expressed apprehension of enmity.
Youth shot dead to avenge brother’s murder
To avenge the murder of his brother in Mangolpuri area, a young man along with his friends shot the murderer’s brother. The bullet hit the young man in the ear. While the police was looking for the accused, the Rohini district police got information about the arrival of the accused in Prashant Vihar area and the police caught four accused including a minor. Police have recovered a pistol, two cartridges and a bullet from the possession of the accused.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rehan, Ravi and Kunal, residents of Mangolpuri, while the fourth accused is a minor. Police officials said that late night of April 25, information was received about a youth being shot in Y Block Mangolpuri. By the time the police reached the spot, the family members had taken the injured youth to the hospital. The injured youth was identified as Saddam (32), a resident of Mangolpuri block.
Firing outside the youth’s house
In Khureji, two people ran away after firing bullets outside the house of a young man. There has been no casualty in the firing. The attackers also threatened to kill the young man. Initial investigation revealed that the youth had a fight with one of the accused. Jagatpuri police station has registered a case.
The victim has been identified as Faizan. He works in a factory. Faizan told the police that on Saturday, on the day of Eid, he had gone to the mall in Nirman Vihar with his family. There he got into an argument with a boy over something. The boy threatened to see him later. On Thursday, the boy along with a friend reached her house in Khureji. Both the boys first abused and then fired shots in the air outside the house.
