A case of an elderly rural doctor being beaten to death has come to light in Sitamarhi. This incident is from Ward-14 Baduri village of Shahpur Sheetalpatti Panchayat of Sahiyara police station area. The deceased has been identified as Akhileshwar Prasad Singh alias Hari Singh, son of late Chandradev Singh, resident of Ward-14 Baduri village of Shahpur Sheetalpatti Panchayat of the police station area. It is being told that a dispute had arisen over the lease.
Regarding the incident, the injured Aman Kumar Singh said that his tenants attacked his house with sticks and rods, in which his own arm was broken. Aman’s father Hari Singh was badly injured. After that he was taken to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital for treatment. Where he died during treatment. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family for last rites.
As soon as the body reached the village, the villagers got angry against the police and jammed the Singrahia Chowk by placing the body loaded on a tempo on the NH. On receiving information about the road blockade, the police of Sahiyar police station reached the spot. During this, the local people surrounded the police vehicle and started demanding the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the murder. During this, SHO Kundan Kumar failed to convince the agitated people. On receiving information, DSP Sadar Ramakrishna reached the spot and pacified the people. Also, the blockade was ended by assuring the family members of the arrest of the accused.
