According to the police, the incident took place on Sunday night in the Langar Hauz area. The age of the deceased is said to be 25 years. Preliminary investigation revealed that the 25-year-old man was killed by two brothers of his wife. A CCTV footage of the incident was also shown on local news channels, which purportedly showed two men chasing a man running on the road and later “attacking” him.

According to the police, a 25-year-old youth was attacked with a sharp weapon, due to which he died. Based on preliminary investigation, a police official said that the youth was allegedly killed by two brothers of his wife, who had married the woman last year, and her family members opposed the marriage .

Police said the woman, whose engagement was fixed with another person, had left home last year and married a youth of her choice. Due to this her (woman’s) brothers were angry. Police said that a case has been registered after the incident. Asked whether the accused have been taken into custody, the officer said further investigation is underway.
