According to media reports, data has come out from the Chandigarh office of the India Meteorological Department regarding the rains in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. According to the data, Punjab and Haryana have received 0.7 mm i.e. -91 percent and 0.3 mm i.e. – 94 percent less rainfall. Chandigarh, the capital of both the states, has received 7.4 mm i.e. -53 percent less rainfall.

It rained so much last year

Last year it rained well. In the first 10 days of January also, 80.1 mm of rain was recorded in Punjab, 52.6 mm in Chandigarh and 121.9 mm in Chandigarh. It also affected the production of crops. Farmers got good yield. Farmers are upset due to less rain this year. ,

even the cold is hurting

Where farmers are worried due to less rain. On the other hand, the extreme cold has made the common man miserable. Cold wave is going on in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
According to IMD data, the lowest minimum temperature in Punjab so far was recorded at -1 degree Celsius at Adampur Jalandhar. Haryana’s Narnaul recorded a temperature of 0.5 degree Celsius. Officials of the Meteorological Department say that the temperature will remain the same in the coming days. Its effect can also be seen on crops like mustard, potato, gram, coriander.
