Vice Chancellor Professor Vinay Pathak has played the same role at Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University (CSJMU) of Kanpur. Keeping in mind the student interests, he has taken many new educational steps not only to make the university not only local, but globally competitive. Recently, 32 new courses were approved in the meeting of the Education Council of the University, which will be started from the coming session.
These new courses include courses related to medical, science, environment, foreign languages and technology. The most important thing is that with the help of these courses, now students and surrounding students will not have to wander to study in other states or abroad.
New options will be available in health sciences
CSJMU will start four new courses under Health Sciences School. These include Bachelor in Operation Theater Technology (40 seats, 4 years), Bachelor in dialysis therapy technology (40 seats, 4 years), Master in Medical Radiology (30 seats, 2 years) and Master in Optometry (30 seats, 2 years).

Innovation in basic science and environment
A 6 -month certificate course (20 seats) of Vedic Mathematics will start in the School of Basic Sciences. Also, MSc in Mathematics with AI & Data Science (30 seats, 2 years), MSc in Environment Sustainability and Governance (15 seats, 2 years) and MSc in Fragrance and Flower Chemistry (15 seats, 2 years) have also been approved.

Career opportunities in foreign languages
1-year certificate courses (20–20 seats) of Russian, Spanish and Mandarin languages will be launched under the School of Language, which is a golden opportunity for students wishing to make international career.
New steps in AI, law and sports
Artificial intelligence for students of BA, BSc and BCom will be connected to the syllabus. Also, legal education will be expanded with 120 seats in LLM. There will also be new initiatives like Music and Sports Academy, International Faculty Program and Professor of Practice.
