Sameer Rivi Six to Bhuvneshwar Kumar UPT20 League: Kanpur Superstars have entered the final of Uttar Pradesh T20 League 2024. Kanpur has entered the title clash by defeating Lucknow Falcons in the super over. In this match, Sameer Rizvi’s six is going viral, by hitting which he gave his team a spectacular victory. This six was also special because Rizvi sent Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s ball across the boundary.
Let us remind you that it had rained heavily during the day before the match between Kanpur and Lucknow started. Due to heavy rains, there were clouds of trouble looming over the qualifier 2 match. Still, after tireless efforts, the ground staff brought the ground to a playable condition and finally it was decided that a super over would be conducted and the winning team would enter the final.
Sameer Rizvi brought victory
Lucknow Falcons batted first, but the team lost both its wickets in just 5 balls. Lucknow set a target of 8 runs for Kanpur. Bhuvneshwar Kumar came to bat for Lucknow. Sameer Rizvi and Abhishek Pandey took singles on the first and second balls. On the third ball, Sameer Rizvi hit a towering six in front to secure Kanpur’s place in the final, where it will now face Meerut Mavericks on September 14.
Sameer Rizvi is the same player who was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 8.4 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. Although Sameer did not get much opportunity to bat last season, he definitely showed his best batting by hitting fours and sixes on some occasions.
