CUET 2024 Preparation Tips: To take admission in Bachelors program of any university, it is necessary to pass CUET UG exam 2024. Whether you want admission in any of the three streams, Arts, Science or Commerce, it is important to clear this exam. Along with preparing for the board exams, keep preparing for this exam also because CUET UG will be conducted as soon as the board exams are over. This year’s examination will be conducted between 15 to 31 May 2024. Know the important details related to this.

The conduct of this examination has started from last year and NTA i.e. National Testing Agency conducts this exam. The paper is conducted in two to three slots. It depends on how many applications have been received for which subject. In this, multiple choice questions are asked.

Broadly the paper is conducted in three shifts although the final timing is subject to change. Talking about last year, the first shift is held between 8.30 to 10.30 in the morning, the second shift is held between 12 to 2 in the afternoon and the third shift is held between 3.30 to 6.30 in the evening.

This paper is divided into three sections. The first section is A and B, it is of language. The second section is of domain subject and the third section is general test, it is optional. There is negative marking in the exam, so write the answers carefully.

Talking about the marking scheme, it is like this that for the correct answer, you get plus 5 marks and for the wrong answer, you get minus 1, that is, one mark is deducted.

how much time do you get

In Section A and B i.e. Language paper, 50 out of 60 questions have to be asked in both the languages. 45 minutes are given to solve it. In section two i.e. domain subject, 35/40 questions out of 45/50 have to be attempted. For this also we get 45 minutes. One hour is given for some subjects. In Section Three i.e. General Test, 50 out of 60 questions have to be asked. You get 60 minutes to solve it. Details can be checked on ctet.nic.in.
