Like elections, DM will get the responsibility of conducting examinations in the district.
According to the recommendation of the committee, now the responsibility of the examination centers will be taken by the District Magistrate (DM). The DM will decide which schools or colleges in which district will have examination centres, and the cooperation of the state government and police will be taken in this process. Police and paramilitary forces will be deployed to tighten the security of the examination centres. Apart from this, CCTV monitoring centers will be created in every district to monitor the examination centres, and the centers will be inspected by the team of NIC and NIT.
There will be separate arrangements for these states including North East, Jammu and Kashmir
The committee has suggested that mobile testing centers should be created especially in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and north-eastern states, so that there is no problem in conducting the examination.
There will be question papers in many sets, there will be a time limit for releasing the results.
Now NTA will have to prepare at least three sets of question papers of the entrance exam, in which each set will have the same questions with different numbers. One set will always be kept as a backup. The committee has recommended that NTA will have to announce the date and time of the result in advance like JEE Advanced and there should not be any delay in releasing the result.
Examination centers will be sealed like elections, presiding officer will be appointed.
The committee also recommended that each examination center should have a presiding officer of NTA, who would be the overall in-charge of the center and monitor the conduct of the examination. The panel has recommended sealing the examination centers in the presence of the district administration and police, similar to sealing of EVMs during voting, so that there are no irregularities in the examination.
