CUET UG 2024 Registration Complete: This year’s CUET UG exam will be conducted from 15 to 31 May 2024. The registrations have been completed and now the students are waiting for the further process. In this sequence, first the city intimation slip will be released and after that the admit cards will be issued. Registrations have been completed and the data is coming out that this year less candidates have applied as compared to last year. According to media reports, there have been about 1.5 lakh less registrations this year.

The total number of registrations of candidates has decreased but the number of students opting for more papers has increased. This time the number of test selections has doubled from last year. It has reached around 58 lakhs from 28 lakhs. Let us tell you that a CUET UG candidate has the freedom to choose maximum 6 subjects (last year it was 10). In such a situation, these candidates have opted for more subjects this time. Last year this number was 2.3 and this year it has reached 4.3.
This subject became the first choice
English subject has emerged as the first choice of students and about 75 percent of the students who have applied for CUET UG have chosen this subject. More students have selected Science and Language papers. Whereas fewer students have chosen the papers of Commerce, Social Science and Humanities. Record applications have been received for English which has been selected by more than 10 lakh students.
Less applications this year
This time the total registrations have decreased compared to the year 2023. If media reports are to be believed, this year 13.4 lakh candidates have applied. Whereas in the year 2023 this number reached 14.9 lakh. However, in its first year i.e. the year 2022, this number reduced significantly and only 9.9 lakh candidates had registered.
