They either have their own entrance tests or they make merit on the basis of 12th score. Thus one can overcome the fear of wasting years without CUET. Sometimes the rules are different for some courses also.

If you are not able to pass or not give CUET, the doors will not be completely closed. The options that may be available to you are as follows.
- You can give other entrance tests at state level and national level, on the basis of whose scores many colleges give admission.
- There are many colleges and courses in which the respective college conducts separate entrance test for admission, you can choose them. For example, institutes conduct separate examinations for mass communication, fashion designing or similar courses.
- Along with this, there are many diploma and certificate courses from which you can choose. If not a degree course, then admission can be taken somewhere.
- If you do not like this option then distance learning can be selected. Many courses can be done with the help of distance learning.
- Along with this, if you want, you can take a gap year. Otherwise you can do skill courses which will prepare you for the future. Work on skill development this year.
