Cyber fraudsters duped people of Rs 79 lakh 93 thousand 762 by luring them with the promise of part time jobs, work from home and good profits with low investment. A case has been registered in the cyber crime police station on the complaint of the four victims. Cyber police station in-charge Vijay Narayan Mishra said that the matter is being investigated.
The daughter of Indra Nagar Brahmadev Dubey of Chitaipur police station told the police that a link for a part-time job was received on WhatsApp. Initially, she was paid for reviewing. Later, tasks were given. In this way, the fraudsters duped her of Rs 10 lakh 18 thousand.
Ashutosh Singh, a resident of Mahadev Residency in Tulsi Nagar, Mahmoorganj area, is originally from village Mednipur, Tarighat in Ghazipur district. Ashutosh told that he was added to a Telegram group. He was lured with tempting offers of high profits in low investment. He invested 21 lakh 40 thousand rupees by getting lured and did not get a single rupee in return.
Aman Jaiswal, a resident of Pitarkunda in Chetganj police station area, told the police that he got a part-time job offer on the Telegram app. He used to get Rs 1200 to 1500 daily for completing the task. Then, he was offered better returns on investing. He fell prey to the fraudsters and lost Rs 35 lakh 6262.
Pooja Jaiswal, daughter of Chhotelal Jaiswal, who lives in Suraj Nagar Colony of Shivdaspur area, told the police that she received a message on her WhatsApp for a part-time job. Falling into the trap, she started rating hotels and cafes etc. After this, she was duped of Rs 13 lakh 29 thousand 500 by promising better profits on completing the task.
