Fake Court Order Email Scam: In the digital world, scammers are defrauding people in new ways. A new scam has come to light in this context. The government’s official PIB Fact Check handle has issued an alert on It has been claimed in this email that it is from the Indian Intelligence Bureau. In this, users have been accused of using the Internet for inappropriate activities and legal action has been threatened. But don’t believe it, it is completely a fraud.
What is claimed in the email?
This fake email states that your internet activities have been identified by the Indian Intelligence Bureau and a court order has been issued against you. It has been alleged that you have used the Internet to watch pornography. It has also been said that the Intelligence Bureau, in collaboration with the Cyber Crime Police Unit, keeps an eye on such activities through state-of-the-art forensic tools. At the end of the email, a person calling himself “Prosecutor” Prashant Gautam signs it.
Ignore the email
The government has clarified that this email is completely fake and has been created only to scare or trap people. Sali legal notices are never sent through such unauthorized emails. They always come under official process. If you are concerned about your online security, the right thing to do is to file a complaint on India’s official cyber crime portal.

Do not click on links and do not share any information: The purpose of such fraud is to steal your personal information or to inject malware into your device.
