Daljeet Kaur breaks silence on break up of marriage with Shalin Bhanot
On screen’s Dear Me, Daljeet spoke openly about the breakdown of his marriage with Shalin Bhanaut. Daljeet told that his whirlwind romance with Shaleen started during Kul Vadhu and Nach Baliye. The actress said, “We got married within a few months of winning Nach Baliye. I wish I had known her better before marriage, if I had done so then these things would not have happened.
Daljeet further told that the breakdown of his first marriage had a lot of emotional impact on him. The actress said, “For more than 2-3 years I kept denying that my marriage had broken. The word ‘divorce’ doesn’t sit well with me; I will just break down and cry. Jaydon was newborn at that time. It was not easy. I also avoided any romantic things because, in my mind, I was still married.”
Shalin may not know the age of her son Jayden
During the nine years following their divorce, Shalin remained sporadically involved in their son Jayden’s life. Whereas Daljeet never stopped father and son from meeting for the welfare of Jayden. But Daljeet says, “If you ask Shalin today how old Jayden is, she wouldn’t know.”
To overcome the absence of a father in his son’s life, Daljeet married for the second time.

Regarding this, Daljeet says, “He (Jayden) was excited for the second marriage because he missed being a father. Especially on occasions like Father’s Day, it was heart-breaking to see him yearning for his father. It felt as if I had failed her.” However, Daljati’s second marriage with Nikhil Patel also ended. Now Daljeet is busy starting her life afresh and is paying full attention to the upbringing of her son Jayden. Daljeet says, “No child deserves to go through this. Protecting Jayden was my priority and I will continue to do so.”
