The change in weather from Darbhanga has started showing its effect. Passengers faced a lot of trouble due to the sudden cancellation of flights from Darbhanga to Delhi and Mumbai due to low visibility. According to the information, flight SG 8496 from Darbhanga Airport to New Delhi at 03.45 pm and flight SG 116 to Mumbai at 04.30 pm had to be canceled due to bad weather.
The passengers of these two flights faced a lot of trouble
It is said that both these flights landed at Darbhanga airport on time. But, due to low visibility, permission could not be obtained from ATC (Air Traffic Control) to take off from here, due to which both these planes had to be cancelled. Due to this, the passengers of both these flights faced a lot of trouble.
Plane operations get disrupted from here
According to the information, flight SG 752, which took off for New Delhi at 11.40 pm, was also cancelled. However, this flight did not reach Darbhanga. And the passengers were informed about its cancellation a day in advance. Let us tell you that due to non-functioning of lighting system at Darbhanga Airport, operation of planes gets disrupted during bad weather. This has happened many times in the past. Many people who frequently travel by plane had said in the past that due to fog during winter days, there would be a possibility of flight cancellation from Darbhanga Airport.
Demand to provide passenger facilities at Darbhanga Airport
Vinay Jha of city’s RS Tank, who travels by plane, said that for a long time, passengers have been demanding to provide passenger facilities at Darbhanga Airport. He said that last year it was said that the airport ILS system work is going on which has not been completed yet. Another passenger Lalan Jha said that even after three years, due to lack of necessary facilities at Darbhanga airport, the flight is suddenly either canceled or diverted, whereas under the UDAN scheme, it is the most successful airport in the country. There is an airport. He said that considering the current number of passengers at Darbhanga Airport, there is a need to provide basic facilities as soon as possible.
