A speeding pickup laden with DJ hit an oncoming truck on Darbhanga-Madhubani NH 57 in Bhalpatti police station area of Darbhanga, Bihar. The collision was so severe that the truck fell into a pit on the roadside due to the strong collision with the pickup truck. After this, within no time the truck turned into a bonfire. The driver of the truck was burnt alive after being caught in the fire. Whereas by the time the passenger trapped in the truck was taken out, he was badly burnt. Immediately the local people, with the help of Bhalpatti police station, admitted him to DMCH for treatment, where his condition is said to be critical.
According to the information, a DJ laden pickup vehicle from Madhubani side suddenly collided with a truck going from Darbhanga side. The collision between the two vehicles was so strong that the truck went out of control and fell into a roadside pit and caught fire. During this time, the driver was burnt to death due to the fire in the truck, while the passenger got seriously burnt. The injured attendant is undergoing treatment at DMCH. The Khalasi has been identified as Ranjit Singh, a resident of Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. However, the driver has not been identified yet.
Regarding this incident, Sadar DSP Amit Kumar said that a DJ laden pickup hit a truck in Bhalpatti area. Due to this the truck caught fire and the driver died on the spot. While the attendant sustained burn injuries and is undergoing treatment at DMCH.
