In Darbhanga district, a girl died after eating food in which a lizard had fallen in Samaura village of Ithar Panchayat in Kusheshwarasthan East Block area. While the condition of the other girl remains serious. It is said that Sonam Kumari, who was eating with her grandfather, fainted while watching this. By the time the family members could understand anything, she had died. Shortly after this, the condition of the girl’s grandfather, Dasarath Rai, became serious. He has been admitted to the PHC for treatment.
It is said that a lizard fell into the food, which no one noticed and while eating the same food, Sonam Kumari, 5 years old, died in no time. While the girl’s grandfather, Dasrath Rai, has been admitted to Kusheshwarsthan PHC in a critical condition. Where he is undergoing treatment. Doctor Bhagwan Das, who is treating him, said, “Treatment is going on. The patient is now out of danger.”
There is chaos in the house after Sonam’s death. On receiving the news of the incident, a crowd of local villagers along with the neighbours gathered. Mother Hira Devi is fainting due to the death of the girl, who is being consoled by the family and neighbours. But she is repeatedly searching for her daughter Sonam. It is said that while cooking food, a lizard fell in the vegetable pan, which no one noticed while cooking and the same food was given to the neighbours Dasarath Rai and his granddaughter Sonam to eat together.
As soon as Sonam Kumari ate the rice, dal and vegetables served in the plate, she fainted and fell down. By the time people took her to the nearby CHC, she had died. The doctor present in the CHC declared her dead after examining her. By the time people took her to the doctor, Dasarath Rai’s condition also became critical. The family got him admitted to the doctor, where he is undergoing treatment.
Sagar Rai said that he has one son and five daughters, out of which one daughter Sonam Kumari has died. He said that while searching for the cause of death, a dead lizard was found in the vegetable pan. He said that his daughter used to eat in the same plate with her grandfather every day and today also while eating together, the daughter fainted first. By the time she was taken to CHC, she had died.
