Samastipur:- Bhullu Sahni of Chaksaho Panchayat of Patori block area of Samastipur has become a source of inspiration, who through his fearlessness and courage has taught the society that physical disability can never limit the ability and courage of a person. Bhullu Sahni, who has been blind since childhood, has saved the lives of 13 people and pulled out more than 14 dead bodies from the water with his amazing art.
Amazing swimming skills
Bhullu Sahni’s swimming skills are very famous in Samastipur district. Despite being blind, his way of swimming in water is such that whenever any accident happens, people immediately search for him. Bhullu Sahni says that what if I am blind, the skill we have is no less than that of a warrior. He has proved that if one has confidence and skill, no physical obstacle can stop him. His life is an inspiration to other people and shows that any difficulty can be overcome with courage and hard work.
Bhullu Sahni, resident of Dum Duma village of Samastipur district, has made his place in this society, where people know him as ‘Water Warrior’. His bravery and hard work has spread not only to his village but also to Samastipur district and he is seen as a living hero. His story teaches that a person can overcome any difficulty through mental and emotional strength rather than physical ability.
Story of a visually impaired swimmer
Bhullu Sahni, son of Kailu Sahni, resident of Chaksaho Panchayat of Patori block area of Samastipur district, shared his life journey while talking to Local 18. He told that his house is near a river and pond and he comes from Malah caste. He was an expert swimmer since childhood, which became even better while fishing with his father. Bhullu Sahni said that I am definitely blind, but I have a special ability under water. When I go into the water, I can clearly see a dead body or a living person and I pull them out safely.
Son Bhullu Sahni further told Local 18 that he said that he has saved the lives of many people and has also pulled out many dead bodies from the water. When they pull out a dead body from water, the person’s family or the head of the panchayat gives them financial assistance. This special ability and courage of his has given him a unique identity in the area.
