The results of the Gujarat assembly elections are out. This time the Bharatiya Janata Party has created a new record. In Gujarat, which has 182 assembly seats, 156 BJP candidates won the elections. The Congress suffered the most. The Congress came straight down to 17 from 77 seats. Means Congress had to bear the loss of 60 seats. At the same time, this time only five candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party, which claimed to form the government, could win the elections. The SP candidate won one seat, while the remaining three seats were won by independent candidates.
The BJP had fielded PK Parmar from the Dasada assembly seat in Surendranagar district. In front of him was Naushad Solanki of Congress. BJP’s PK Parmar defeated INC’s Naushad Solanki by 2,179 votes. BJP candidate got 76,344 votes while Congress got 74,165 votes here. However, behind this victory of BJP, the role of NOTA also proved to be decisive. Actually, NOTA got 3,147 votes here, which is much more than the margin of victory and defeat.

AAP stood third in this election, its candidate Arvindbhai Solanki got 10324 votes which was 6.16 percent of the total votes. That is, Solanki could not save his bail. The deposits of six other candidates, including the BSP candidate, were also forfeited.
Congress got victory in 2017
The Congress had won the Dasada assembly seat in the 2017 assembly elections. In this election, Congress had made Naushad Solanki its candidate from this seat. He defeated Ramanlal Vora of BJP by just 3728 votes. Here a total of ten candidates were in the fray. Apart from these two, the deposits of the remaining eight candidates were forfeited. Before 2017, the BJP had won this seat twice in a row in 2007 and 2012. Whereas, in 2002 this seat went to the account of Congress. At the same time, in 1990, 1995 and 1998, Kamal blossomed on the Dasada seat three times in a row.
If we talk about the total elections held till now. Congress has won this seat six times in the total 14 elections held in Dasada so far. Whereas, BJP has been able to win from here only six times. Independent and Swatantra Party candidates were successful in winning once each.
