Complaining about illegal encroachers on their land proved costly for the elderly couple. On the evening of 29 December, the bullies entered the old couple’s house and surrounded them and beat the old man severely with sticks, kicks and punches. The accused fled after threatening to kill him if he went to the police station again. The old man has reached the police station and lodged a complaint against the accused, while the police has got the old man medically examined and has started investigation.
60-year-old Omveer Singh, resident of Ukhlana village of Harduaganj police station area, said that some of his family members have been encroaching on his land for the last one year, about which complaints are being made continuously for the last four months, but no one has bothered to solve it. . On December 28, he had gone to Harduaganj police station regarding the same issue, when the accused came to know about it, they entered the house on December 29 evening and beat him with sticks and kicks and punches. When the wife raised an alarm, the accused threatened her and ran away.
Omveer Singh reached the police station late in the evening and filed a complaint against Ukhlana resident Kalicharan, his son Mithun and wife Kamlesh Devi, pleading for justice. After which the police conducted medical examination of the old man. Police Station Head Ravi Chandrawal says that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused and the accused are being searched.
