The body of a 25-year-old youth was found in a well located in Anjahi Mohal Kedavariya town of Bhadohi. There was a stir as soon as the news of a dead body being found in a well in the middle of the city was received. People have expressed fear of murder and throwing the body in the well. However, the body could not be identified.

According to the information, Sharda Bind, a resident of Bhagwat, has a concrete well in front of her old house in Kedavariya. A foul smell was emanating from the well since Thursday morning. People were suspecting that the animal was dead. However, when the foul smell became stronger, people informed the police. Outpost in-charge Santosh Singh and Diwan Ejaz Khan reached the spot and lowered local diver Ramkhelavan Bind into the well.
There was a stir after getting information about a dead body in the well. Police took out the body from the well with the help of fire brigade personnel. The deceased was wearing a blue jacket, black pants, sports shoes. His age is said to be around 25 years. Police recovered a mobile from his pocket. Efforts were made to identify the body, but it could not be identified.
People present at the spot feared that the body might have been lying in the well for three-four days, many parts of the body had rotted. People said that such an incident in the middle of the city is very serious. It is possible that the young man might have been murdered and thrown into the well or the young man himself might have committed suicide.
Regarding the case, Inspector in-charge Santosh Srivastava said that the body could not be identified. The case is being investigated.
