After this, she was asked to share the card details. Along with this, to win the trust of the woman, the scammers said that there is no need to share her personal information over the phone.

The link was sent to the woman

Then the woman was sent a link to the app and was asked to enter her details in the app. After downloading the app, it asked for the details of the old debit card. After entering this information in the app, the woman received an OTP (One Time Password).

Do not make the mistake of giving OTP

After this, the woman received a call from the hacker in which he was asking for OTP from the woman. But when the woman refused to share the OTP, the hacker sent her a link to another app and got the app downloaded. After which the woman’s phone got hacked. The name of this app was VPN Connect. Due to this, all the bank details and OTP went to the hacker and he made 1 lakh rupees disappear from the account. Now in such a situation, you have to be careful of hackers and such apps as well. If you get such a call, do not pick it up and stay alert.
