Actually he was asked why he makes his employees work even on Saturdays, when his company is worth billions. The chairman had said that the employees should work for 90 hours.

SN Subramanian is facing a lot of criticism because of this statement. During this time, L&T Chairman had also said that China can overtake America through similar methods. He had said – “Chinese people work 90 hours a week, while Americans work only 50 hours a week.”
