In Karaval Nagar, the goons molested and assaulted a 17-year-old girl. The victim told the whole thing to the mother. When the mother reached the house of the accused to protest, the mother herself was beaten up. The police got the mother-daughter treated at Jag Pravesh Chand Hospital.
Even after this the police did not listen to the victims. For about one and a half years both of them kept on fighting. Distressed, the victim’s family reached the court. Now, on the orders of the court, after about one and a half years, the police have registered an FIR only under simple sections of assault. The accused are continuously harassing the family.
Due to fear, the family got rid of the girl’s studies. The victim says that even after taking the house away from the house of the accused, they are still troubling the family. They say that the police cannot harm them. Senior police officers are talking about getting the matter investigated.
According to the information, the victim Sapna (name changed) lives with her family in Gali No-4, Phase-4, Shiv Vihar Karaval Nagar. It has parents in its family. Father is an auto driver while mother works as a tea-seller in an office. On October 9, 2021, the victim came out of the house for some work.
Meanwhile, a young man living in the street approached Sapna and expressed his love and asked her to sit on the bike. On refusing, the elder brother of the accused also reached there. The victim talked about complaining to both of them and started leaving. While returning, the accused caught Sapna on the way. molested and assaulted her.
The victim came home and told the whole thing to her mother. The mother reached the house of the accused at around 9.30 pm. It is alleged that both the boys assaulted Sapna’s mother, due to which she fainted. After this the matter was informed to the police.
The family kept circling the police station
The family complained to the police, but no case was registered. The family kept going round the police station. Distressed, on February 2, 2022, the family approached the court. After investigation, the court ordered to register a case against both the brothers on March 2, 2023.
After investigation, the police have registered a case under sections of simple assault. The victim’s family is still not satisfied with the police action. The family says that sections of molestation should also have been added against the accused. But perhaps the police is working under the pressure of the bullies.
