Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has alleged that the BJP-led central government has given such powers to the Lieutenant Governor by amending the Constitution, with the help of which they are stopping the foreign training program of teachers. The AAP government claims that this program is being run continuously for many years to improve the quality of teachers and it is in the interest of the students. At the same time, the BJP has called it a political stunt of the Aam Aadmi Party and a way to hide its failures.

On Thursday, Manish Sisodia alleged that the central government has given powers to the lieutenant governor by making unconstitutional amendments in the GNCTD Act. By misusing them, they are preventing teachers from going for training in Finland. While the Delhi government wants to send its teachers abroad for training to provide better education to the students of Delhi. He said that it is directly trying to hurt the interests of the students.

He said that the government of Punjab can send its teachers abroad for training, but due to the power given to the Lieutenant Governor in Delhi, they are obstructing the program of sending teachers for training. He appealed that the Lieutenant Governor should not stop the teachers’ training program in the interest of the students.

Sisodia should not hide his failure – BJP

Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has said that the Delhi government wants to hide its failure by creating this controversy. Government schools in Delhi do not have teachers, many schools do not have principals. In many schools, students have to sit and study in bad classrooms. But instead of removing these shortcomings, the Delhi government wants to brag about its foreign training stunts. He said that the government should consider increasing the basic facilities in the schools of Delhi.

Kapoor said that the Kejriwal government is not interested in the appointment of teachers and principals. She only wants to create a constitutional conflict, while the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has appointed 6100 teachers in schools in the last 6 months. With these efforts, the condition of Delhi schools will improve. He said that it is beyond the understanding of the people of Delhi as to why Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is creating controversy over the government schools getting training in Finland.
