All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi is preparing itself to provide health facilities in the G-20 meeting to be held in the country. AIIMS will act as a referral hospital for G-20. A high-level meeting of the Director of the hospital with the NDMC secretary was held at AIIMS on Tuesday regarding beautification including enhancement of facilities in AIIMS. Many issues were discussed in the meeting. Along with this, work will be done for cleanliness in the surrounding areas.

Regarding the meeting, senior doctor of AIIMS said that AIIMS has been given the responsibility to act as a referral hospital. Delegations from all over the world are coming to the meeting. Services are being advanced to provide better health facilities to them. Training will also be given to doctors and other health workers regarding this. Other facilities will also be expanded if needed.

Beautification will be done in the campus

The official said that in view of the G20 meeting, beautification work would be done in the AIIMS campus. Apart from cleanliness, greenery will also be developed in the surrounding park. The responsibility has been entrusted to NDMC regarding this. Apart from making the parks clean and beautiful, NDMC will also increase the number of toilets. Also will do other important work.

Information center will be made for Timardars

Information centers are being set up near the gates of AIIMS to provide information related to patients coming for treatment at AIIMS. Complete information about the patient will be available from these centres. Along with this, new patients will be told where they have to go for treatment. Till now patients had to go to room number 12 for this facility. The official said that after increasing the number of centres, the patients will know near the gate itself which center or OPD they have to go to.

So far it has been seen that patients keep wandering even after having old referral slip. After seeing the slip in the centre, they will be sent to the said OPD or centre. Along with taking the information of the admitted patient, the information about his ward and others will be given to the Timardar.
