To improve the quality of food being given to the patients admitted in AIIMS, the administration has started a regular patient feedback system. In this, patients or their relatives will be able to give information about the quality of food. This facility will start from December 31.
Dr. Reema Dada, Professor and Head of Media Cell, AIIMS, said that a new formal mechanism has been devised to obtain patient feedback on the therapeutic and general diet given to the patients in their wards. This will be fully implemented before December 31. This initiative will work towards improving the quality and hygiene standards of food. Under this, the Dietetics Department has pasted the QR code on the bed side of every patient.
Through this, feedback will be collected from the patient. Patients have to scan it with their mobile phones and it will help in giving their opinion about the diet served in the hospital. In addition, dietitians will visit different wards to talk to patients and collect first-hand information about their food experiences. AIIMS Director Dr M Srinivas says patient feedback is an important step to improve care. This will enable us to directly monitor the quality of food served to patients.
