The dates for Delhi Assembly elections have been announced. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced the election dates in a press conference. He told that voting will be conducted simultaneously for all the 70 assembly seats of Delhi. Voting will take place here on 5th February and counting of votes will be done on 8th February. Along with this, he said that with the announcement of election dates, the code of conduct has been implemented in Delhi. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the code of conduct.

The Election Commissioner said that in the Delhi elections, the public will have a weapon in their hands with the help of which they can immediately stop the irregularities taking place in the elections. According to the Election Commission, if any kind of irregularity is seen during the election campaign, then the general public can also lodge a complaint. He told that with the help of C-Vigil app, complaint can be lodged with the Election Commission. After the complaint is registered, action will be taken within the stipulated time. Complaints about violation of code of conduct can also be made online through this app.

To download the Election Commission’s C-Vigil app, we have to go to the app store of our smartphone. This app is available for both iOS and Android devices. After downloading the C-Vigil app, you will have to enter your mobile number, after this an OTP will be sent, after submitting it you will be asked for other information. In this you will have to fill your name, state, district, assembly and address and submit it.

Once registration is done, the homepage of the app will open. Scroll down and you will see the option to lodge a complaint. Here you can lodge a complaint regarding code of conduct violation and voting irregularities. The special thing is that in this app you can also send audio, video or photo to the Election Commission as evidence. The Election Commission takes action on complaints received on the C-Vigil app within 100 hours. The Commission orders the Magistrate near your location to take action on the complaint.
