In view of Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP are face to face regarding Purvanchalis. AAP alleges that BJP is conspiring to uproot Purvanchalis from Delhi. After insulting the people of Purvanchal community by calling them Rohingya in Parliament, BJP now wants to torture their children and bulldoze their houses.

Party leaders said that in order to ruin Purvanchal society, BJP has passed an order in Delhi Municipal Corporation (AAP) to identify illegal Bangladeshi immigrants studying in the corporation’s schools. AAP warned that if BJP does not stop its conspiracies, it will fight tooth and nail for the Purvanchal society.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh, in a press conference at the party headquarters, said in a statement that BJP is not coming out of its hateful mentality towards UP, Bihar and Purvanchalis. It has come up with a new plan to destroy Purvanchalis in Delhi. He claimed that an order has been passed from MCD to demolish the house.
In this, the Education Department will have to take necessary steps to identify illegal Bangladeshi immigrants while giving admission in municipal schools. It has also been requested that proper identification and verification campaign should also be conducted to identify the children of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in the school. All appropriate action should be taken to remove encroachment by illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.
Not only this, the Health Department should take all precautionary measures while registering births and issuing birth certificates and ensure that birth certificates are not issued to illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. Sanjay Singh said that this plan is to uproot the people of UP and Bihar who make their living by setting up shops on street vendors in the name of encroachment campaign. This plan is to uproot the people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar living in slums and settlements.
