Sumit (26) was stabbed to death late Wednesday night in Kusumpur Pahari area of Vasant Vihar. The relatives have accused a young man of calling him from home. Suspecting enmity, the police have registered a case of murder. Police is interrogating some suspects in custody.
According to the police, Sumit is survived by his parents, brother-in-law and sister. On Wednesday late night at around one o’clock, the police got information about stabbing a young man in Kusumpur Pahari area and getting him admitted to AIIMS. When the police reached the hospital, it was found that Sumit had died during treatment. The relatives told the police that Wednesday night was Sumit’s niece’s birthday.
Many people came to the party. Sumit was also at home. When Suraj came to call him late at night, the relatives refused to go, but Sumit got a call from someone late at night and he left the house. After some time Suraj told the family that Sumit had been stabbed by unknown people. At some distance from the house, the relatives saw Sumit bleeding. Relatives told that Sumit had a fight with some youths three months ago.
Youth’s dead body found hanging from a tree
The body of Rahul (22) was found hanging on a tree on Thursday morning near Khyber Pass Mess, Civil Lines. After preliminary investigation, the police have expressed the possibility of suicide. At present, no suicide note has been recovered by the police. Apart from the crime team, the FSL team has collected evidence from the spot. Police is checking CCTV.
According to the police, Rahul, originally from Siwan, lived with the family in Khyber nearby. Apart from parents, there is a sister in the family. Rahul used to live by doing small jobs. On Wednesday night, he had left the house saying that he wanted to go for a walk after having dinner. After that he did not return. Early in the morning people found him hanging from a tree in a nearby forest.
