Earlier, Naresh Kumar was going to retire in November 2023, but the central government had given him a 6-month extension.

According to the information, the matter of extension of service of Naresh Kumar had also gone to the Supreme Court. During that time, the Supreme Court had allowed the Central Government to give a 6-month extension. Now the Central Government has again given a 3-month extension to Naresh Kumar.

Let us tell you that Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar is a 1987 batch IAS officer. The Union Home Ministry has said in the order that the extension of service of Naresh Kumar will be effective for three months, from June 1 to August 31. He was to retire on November 30, 2023, but his service extension period was extended till May 31.
