Earlier, 214 cases of corona were reported in Delhi on Tuesday. At the same time, the positivity rate had increased to more than 11 percent. Corona test of 1811 people was done on Tuesday, out of which 214 positive cases were found. According to the Health Department data, 115 cases were reported in Delhi on Monday with an infection rate of 7.45 percent. On Sunday, 153 cases were reported with an infection rate of 9.13 percent, while 139 new cases were found on Saturday with an infection rate of 4.98 percent.
So far 26526 people have died due to corona in Delhi
After the arrival of new cases, the total number of cases of Kovid-19 in the national capital has increased to 2009361. Apart from this, the death toll from Corona in Delhi has reached 26526. At the same time, the number of active cases in Delhi has increased to 806. At present, the corona death rate in Delhi is 1.32 percent. According to the Health Department, out of 7,986 beds in Corona dedicated hospitals in Delhi, 54 patients are admitted, while 452 patients are in home isolation. Significantly, there has been an increase in the number of new Kovid cases in Delhi in the last few days amidst the increase in the cases of H3N2 Influenza in the country.
Expert said – no need to panic
Amidst the gradual increase in the number of corona cases in Delhi, medical experts say that the new XBB.1.16 variant of coronavirus may increase the cases. However, he says there is no need to panic and people should follow Covid-appropriate behavior and take booster shots of vaccines.
