MCD will promote no school bag policy in its schools. To implement this policy, students will be provided with one set of books for school and another for home so that they do not have to carry heavy school bags to school. The corporation is also going to make many other such important changes in its schools under Vision at the Rate 2047.

MCD will focus on educating students about gender equality from the very beginning. For this, the corporation is planning to convert its two shift schools into single shift schools.

So that from an early age, boys and girls are allowed to study together, so that children can inculcate essential values ​​like respecting each other. The Education Department has said that they are implementing the National Education Policy-2020 in their schools as per all the prescribed standards. They aim to achieve all the objectives specified in the new education policy. For this, a plan has also been made to make children study in mother tongue in future.

The education department will encourage children to use their local language in schools. Promotion of co-curricular activities among students, enhancement of infrastructure in schools, creation and development of sports infrastructure, safety and cleanliness in schools will be the focus areas.
